![]() ![]() (I have no speculation on what that could mean beyond "Maybe the sword he uses to do it?" or "A hand/sword made of actual magic light?" Although. *IF* Jaime kills Cerci, I believe he will fulfil the prophesy of Azor Ahai, and he will become Lightbringer. Does it ever say which one came out first? Does it matter in their culture if the female twin is born first and the male second, or is that simply disregarded and the male is seen as the "first child" no matter what? Is it so completely disregarded by them that no one would think to say or think about it? (I'm open to correction/clarification!). I can't recall any details of their birth other than "Jaime was holding her foot". She too, is a massive threat to the entire realm, and nobody knows it better than Jaime. All that's left is to plunge his sword into (not a euphemism, but.) the woman he loves. A criminal act done out of loyalty and love. If there is one person that truly loves Tyrion, it's Jaime. That one act truly "shattered" the Lannister family. By freeing Tyrion he doomed his father to death. (If you want to talk about the value of a vow made to a lunatic, I'm all for it.) Jaime took the steps needed to save the realm from torment. What was Ned Stark headed to King's Landing for? To chat with Aerys about his disapproval over the treatment of his father and brother? Probably not. He *heroically* broke his vows in order to save every single person in Westeros from a mind run truly mad. He knew the ramifications, to his reputation and to his Order, but did it anyway. he was just sitting on the throne, trying to recover from what he'd just done when Ned showed up. Plunging his sword into a water, as it were. He killed once, very notably, someone that was not blood related but that he had sworn a vow to. ![]() I think he's "forging" HIMSELF into Lightbringer. There is only one person that I can think of in the entire series that fits more closely to the prophesy, than Jaime Lannister. ![]()
